What the assistant can and cannot do

It can

  • Edit any page, post, product or theme template (header, footer, single post, archive and so on) that the page switcher lists.
  • Change text, images, colours, fonts, spacing, layout and links on Elementor pages.
  • Add, move, duplicate and remove sections and elements.
  • Create new pages and add them to the menu.
  • Add a contact or enquiry form. Every form it adds is a CRM form connected to your account; see Adding a form.
  • Restyle CRM forms.
  • Browse and show files of the WordPress site, and run commands in its environment when a request needs that.
  • Undo and redo its own page edits on request (/undo, /redo).
  • Answer questions about the site and pause for your answer before changing anything.

It will not

  • Add a form that bypasses the CRM (an Elementor Pro form, Contact Form 7, WPForms, MetForm and similar). Forms always go through the CRM so leads reach you.
  • Edit while the Elementor editor is open in another tab. Two editors writing the same page would overwrite each other.
  • Work when your account cannot pay for the edit. On a free website the free allowance must have room; on a paid website you need AI credit. See Credits in the editor.

It may

  • Ask a question and wait, when a request is ambiguous.
  • Propose a plan first when you turn on Plan mode or use planning words.
  • Take several steps for one request. Each step is listed under the message.

Good to know

  • The assistant works on the page the preview shows. Move the preview with the page switcher before asking about another page.
  • If a change is not what you wanted, press Undo or say so; it reads the conversation.
