Going live overview
Going live has three stages. Each is described on its own page.
1. Choose a plan
Press Deploy (locked) or Upgrade to finish the site on a free preview. The Ready to go live? chooser shows the Starter, Professional and Enterprise plans with live prices. Pick one and pay by card. See Choose a plan.
2. Let Wigoh build the remaining pages
After payment Wigoh builds the rest of the site, up to the plan's page allowance, and tells you when it is ready to review. See After payment.
3. Deploy
Press Deploy to open the four-step Go live wizard: readiness, business, domain, confirm. Then watch the deployment progress. See The go-live wizard.
What deploying does
- Copies your finished site from the preview to production hosting managed by Wigoh.
- Installs an SSL certificate.
- Connects your domain if you chose one, and gives you the DNS records to publish.
- Removes the preview environment once the site is live.
- Creates your business account for the marketing tools, using the business details you confirmed.
What deploying does not do
- Change anything at your old website's host.
- Move your email.
- Charge you again: the plan you chose is the payment.
Paying is not deploying
Paying for a plan unlocks the site and builds the remaining pages. You still review the site and press Deploy when you are happy. Nothing goes live until you do.
