Website migration overview

Website Migration recreates an existing website in WordPress so that it looks the same. The app describes it as "Replicate your existing homepage exactly and move it to WordPress."

Who it is for

  • You like your current design and want to leave your current platform.
  • You want to own your site on WordPress with a page builder (Elementor) you or anyone can edit.
  • You want to see the result before anything changes on your live site.

What you provide

The public address of the site. Nothing else. Wigoh reads the site the way a visitor does and does not ask for platform passwords.

The process

  1. Enter the address on the home page or in the onboarding chat.
  2. Confirm on the Website Migration card. Wigoh analyses the site and starts the build.
  3. Watch the checklist: Provisioning Server → Cloning Website → Quality Check.
  4. Land in the editor with your home page rebuilt in WordPress.
  5. Choose a plan when you want the remaining pages built and the site taken live.

What is built first

The build recreates the home page (with the site's header and footer) first. The rest of the site is built after you choose a plan, up to the plan's page allowance. See Remaining pages and Large websites.

Your current site is not touched

Wigoh only reads your existing site. It never logs in to it or changes it. Your domain keeps pointing at the old site until you decide otherwise during go-live.
