The analysis stage

When you press Start Migration the card reads Validating and analyzing your site.... Three things happen.

The address is validated

The same checks as on the home page run again: the domain must be allowed, and the site must answer. If either fails the card turns red with the reason and a Migration Restricted notice may appear above the chat.

The site's pages are discovered

Wigoh reads the site's robots.txt and sitemaps to list the pages it is allowed to visit. This count is what later decides whether your site is treated as a large site. See Large websites.

The project is created

A project appears in All projects with the site's address, even before the build has produced anything. The build then starts with Provisioning Server.

What if my site has no sitemap?

The home page is still migrated. Discovery of the remaining pages relies on the sitemap: a site without one cannot have its remaining pages built automatically, and the build of those pages will stop with "We cannot clone this Site". Add a sitemap to your current site (most platforms publish one at /sitemap.xml automatically) before choosing a plan.
