Forms in a migration

Every form on a Wigoh-built site is a CRM form: a form that saves each submission as a contact and a conversation in your customer relationship manager, so an enquiry is never just an email.

What happens to the forms on your old site

  1. Wigoh detects the forms on the page.
  2. It reads their fields (labels, types, options, the submit button text).
  3. It creates a matching CRM form and places it where the old form was.

When a form cannot be copied exactly

Some field types have no exact equivalent. Wigoh records a plain-English limitation for each change so you know what to check. The most common ones:

  • The original page used a third-party form embed. Its fields could not be read, so it was replaced with a standard contact form (name, email, phone, message).
  • "Interests" allowed several choices. CRM forms cannot, so each choice is now its own checkbox.
  • The original form had several steps. The CRM form shows every field on one page.

The full list is in Form limitations.

Styling

The form takes the colours, fonts and shapes of the original where Wigoh could read them, and otherwise a neutral style that reads well on the page. You can ask the assistant to restyle it. See Styling a form.
