Forms and leads overview
Every form on a site Wigoh builds is a CRM form. When a visitor submits it, the submission becomes a contact and an inbox conversation in the customer relationship manager (CRM) connected to your account, with the campaign information that brought the visitor attached.
This is true for:
- forms copied from your old site in a migration,
- forms that came with a template in a redesign or build,
- forms you add in the editor,
- forms added through Wigoh Connect's editor on a connected WordPress site.
Why
An email from a contact form is easy to lose. A contact in a CRM can be followed up, assigned, replied to and measured. Wigoh treats every form as lead capture for the business behind the site.
What this means in practice
- You never set up a form plugin, an email destination or spam protection.
- Some field types are simplified to fit the CRM. Each simplification is recorded as a plain-English limitation you can read. See Form limitations.
- The form is styled to match your site, and you can restyle it in the editor.
- Submissions are handled by the CRM directly from the visitor's browser; Wigoh's servers are not in that path.
