Requirements
- WordPress 6.0 or higher, single site. Multisite is not supported; the plugin refuses to activate on a network.
- PHP 8.0 or higher with the sodium extension (bundled with PHP since 7.2).
- Pretty permalinks enabled, so the REST API is reachable at
/wp-json/. - Outbound HTTPS to
wigoh.aiandstorage.googleapis.com, and inbound HTTPS to your site's REST API. - WP-Cron, or a real cron job hitting
wp-cron.php. The plugin also triggers itself through a loopback request. - Administrator access to WordPress.
Upgrading from Wigoh WP Migrator
Wigoh Connect replaces the earlier Wigoh WP Migrator plugin. On activation it removes that plugin's stored connection and backup directory and asks you to connect again.
Hosts with HTTP authentication or LiteSpeed
Background processing works on HTTP-Basic-protected and LiteSpeed hosts. A self-test warns in Wigoh → Overview when the site cannot reach itself.
