The drift report
Between the snapshot and the release, your live site may have changed: new posts, edited pages, changed settings, plugins turned on or off. A release replaces the content tables, so those changes would be overwritten. The drift report lists them so you can decide.
Where you see it
On the release page in Wigoh under Changes on the live site, and in WordPress under Wigoh → Releases. Both show the same counts.
Summary line
- No changes on the live site since the snapshot., or
- N changes on the live site will be overwritten: A posts created, B modified, C deleted, D options, E plugins.
Detail
- Posts created / modified / deleted, each with type, title and modified date (the first entries, with a count of the rest).
- Options changed, or Option changes could not be compared (older snapshot).
- Plugins activated / deactivated.
- Theme changed from one to another.
- Tables changed and Tables only on the live site.
The drift check has not run on your site yet. appears before the plugin has reported.
Drifted posts are kept in the snapshot
Before applying, the plugin exports drifted posts to a WXR file inside its pre-release snapshot, so they can be re-imported if you need them.
