The free preview allowance

A website with no plan is on the free plan. That plan has an allowance with two parts.

When a free website's AI allowance is used up, the assistant refuses edits and the plan chooser opens. Choosing a plan is the only way to keep editing a free website. When a paid website's build allowance is used up, the build stops and the editor tells you.

How the build spends the free allowance

  1. Pictures are made for the home page, header and footer only, from the top of the page down.
  2. Part of the allowance is kept back for the words, so the home page is always written.
  3. A picture the allowance does not cover keeps its place but is shown blurred, with Unlock with a plan.
  4. On a migrated site, a section the allowance does not cover shows your original section, blurred, with the same button.

Choosing a plan makes the blurred pictures and builds the blurred sections.

What you see

  • The free-preview banner: It covers what the free allowance allows, not every section, and AI edits are rate limited.
  • Page Locked on pages other than the home page.
  • A locked Deploy button.
  • Blurred pictures and sections with an Unlock with a plan button, where the allowance ran out.

How many free websites

A free account gets one free website, and cannot buy credits until it holds a paid website. See Account tiers and your free website. A seven-day archive for an unbought preview is upcoming.
