Connecting a domain you own

You keep the domain at your current registrar and point it at Wigoh's hosting.

During go-live​

In the wizard's Domain step choose I have a domain and type the hostname (example.com or shop.example.com). The confirm step reads Domain: example.com. We give you the DNS records after the deploy.

After deployment​

  1. Open the site's settings page (gear icon on the project in All projects).
  2. The Domains card lists your hostname with the state Waiting for DNS and a table: Add these records at your domain provider. with Type, Name and Value columns.
  3. Sign in at your registrar or DNS provider and add each record exactly as shown.
  4. Wigoh checks periodically; the state changes to Live when the records are found. The settings page refreshes itself every 30 seconds while a domain is pending.

Subdomains​

shop.example.com works the same way; the records will be for that host.

Email​

Connecting the website does not move your email. Do not delete existing MX records at your provider.
