Blocked and unreachable websites

Wigoh checks every address before it starts work. Three kinds of refusal exist.

Domain cannot be migrated

Some domains are refused for safety reasons: addresses that point to private networks, addresses on Wigoh's block list, and addresses flagged as unsafe by a web-risk check. The home page shows the reason next to the prompt box, and the onboarding chat shows a Migration Restricted notice with a Back to Home link. The default message is "This website cannot be migrated. Please try a different URL."

Website could not be reached

If the address does not answer, you see "The website could not be reached. Please check the URL and try again." Check that the site is public, spelled correctly and online. Sites behind a password or a coming-soon page cannot be read.

Bot protection

The home page runs a bot check before it validates a domain. If the check fails you see "Failed bot protection check. Please try again." Reload and try once more.

Invalid input

  • "Please enter a description for your website." The prompt was empty.
  • "Please provide a valid URL (e.g., https://example.com)" The text did not contain a usable address.
  • "Please provide only one URL." Two or more addresses were included.

Sites that block screenshots

Some websites refuse automated screenshots. The template picker shows a small red note, Is this the right screenshot?, with an explanation: "Some websites block automated screenshots. If the preview doesn't look right, it means the site has restricted access. Scraping content from such websites without permission may violate their terms of service."
