Moving from Wix

How Wigoh treats a Wix site​

Wigoh reads the public Wix site and rebuilds the design in WordPress with Elementor. Wix apps (bookings, stores, chat and similar) exist only on Wix; their purpose is recreated with a WordPress equivalent, or the section is rebuilt without the app.

Steps​

  1. Type your Wix site's address on the home page (your custom domain or the wixsite.com address).
  2. Press Start Migration on the confirmation card, or reply "redesign it" for the template path.
  3. Review the home page in the editor, then choose a plan for the remaining pages.

What to check afterwards​

  • Forms. Wix forms become CRM forms. Multi-choice fields and consent boxes are simplified; see Form limitations.
  • Wix-only elements. Look for empty spaces where a Wix app sat and ask the assistant to fill them.
  • Fonts. Ask the assistant to set a font if one did not carry across.

Keep Wix running until you switch​

Do not cancel your Wix plan or change your domain until the WordPress site has passed your review and you have connected the domain during go-live. Your Wix site is never modified by Wigoh.
