What cannot be copied
A visual migration reads what a visitor sees. Some things are out of reach by nature.
- Content behind a login. Members' areas, customer accounts, gated downloads.
- Platform apps. Booking engines, store checkouts, chat widgets and similar that run on the old platform's servers. Their purpose can be rebuilt with WordPress tools; the app itself cannot move.
- Server-side logic. Custom code, integrations and automations configured inside the old platform.
- Email, DNS and domain settings. These are not part of the website's pages. You connect your domain during go-live, and email stays wherever it is hosted today.
- Analytics and tracking snippets. Add them to the new site yourself.
- Content that loads only after interaction, such as tabs that fetch content when clicked, or infinite-scroll feeds beyond the first screen.
- Form back-ends. The forms themselves are recreated as CRM forms, but the submissions stored on the old platform stay there.
When something in this list matters to your site, mention it to the assistant in the editor. It can often rebuild the effect in WordPress, and it will tell you when it cannot.
